This perfumed Syrah comes from small-batch producer Ben Haines from the Grampians mountain ranges in western Victoria. It billows floral, pepper, baking spice and tangy, vibrant berry fruit aromas from first sniff. The midweight palate is tighter, with racy acidity and an almost surprising grip of chalky, fine tannins and concentrated fruit. A versatile food pairing, this will please lovers of both big and light-bodied red wines.
