The newest addition to the Hudson Valley’s craft distilling scene, Spirits Lab Distilling Company is located in Newburgh, NY, across from General Washington’s Revolutionary War headquarters. Spirits Lab uses New York State grains and botanicals to produce small batch craft spirits and bottled cocktails. In tribute to New York State history, many of their spirits are named after famous New York places. ‘Bull’s Head Bourbon’ was named after the Bull’s Head Tavern, where Washington and his troops toasted their victory before marching into Manhattan. The mash bill for this distinctive wheated bourbon is 70% corn, 20% wheat, and 5% malted barley, distilled in the Hudson Valley from 100% New York ingredients. It is aged for 5 years in 53 gallon Independent Stave Company Cooper’s Select Oak Barrels. Smooth and luscious, with toasted corn, caramel, and spice notes, this is an easy sipper that works just as effortlessly in all your favorite cocktails.
