2020 Bieler Family ‘Daisy’ Pinot Grigio from Columbia Valley, Washington is our Wine of the Week!

Bieler Family Wines began in the early ‘90’s when Philippe Bieler founded the first family winery Chateau Routas, an acclaimed producer of Grenache-based rosé and reds. In 2005, Philippe’s son, Charles took over as head winemaker and Bieler Family Wines was born. Along with Bieler Family, Charles has several other projects including Charles & Charles with renowned Washington State winemaker, Charles Smith. Everything the Bieler family does in the vineyards is terroir-driven and reflects the best Washington State has to offer.

 ‘Daisy’ is a blend of mainly Pinot Grigio with small amounts of Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, and Moscato, all co-fermented at the same time to allow optimal ripeness. The wine opens with lovely aromas of grapefruit, lychee, and summer flowers framed by a flinty minerality. Flavors of green apple, melon, and tropical fruit lead to a bone-dry finish accented by lively acidity.

Enjoy with light salads, pesto chicken, scallops, veggie pizza, pork tenderloin, fried chicken, sushi, or fresh mozzarella.
