We’re kicking off 2022 featuring 2018 Tarima Blanco from Alicante, Spain as our Wine of the Week!

This unique white wine is produced from three of DO Alicante’s most important indigenous grapes: Merseguera, Macabeo, and Moscatel. Since the region is so warm and sunny, the vines are bush-trained low to the ground so that the leaf canopy protects the grapes and shades the soil. This ensures a slow ripening process which results in higher quality fruit.

Tarima Blanco is a lovely little wine with a nose of ripe fruit, pineapple, mango, and honey. The palate reflects the nose with fresh fruit notes followed by nice acidity.

Delicious as an aperitif or paired with sushi, seafood, white meats, creamy soups, or Tempura.
