Try this unique wine for only $11.99 this week!

This week’s Wine of the Week features 2020 Vina Mayu Pedro Ximenez, from Elqui Valley, Chile!

You may be familiar with the Pedro Ximenez grape being used in the production of brandy and sherry, but it also makes a surprisingly delicious table wine! This unique grape thrives particularly well in the harsh climate of Chile’s Elqui Valley. The Olivier family saw the region’s potential and started Vina Mayu in 2005, becoming the first winemaking family in the Elqui Valley. They honor the location and history by naming the winery, Mayu, the Inca word for the Milky Way’s “river of stars.”

This 100% Pedro Ximenez begins with aromas of citrus, lime, and fresh minerals. The palate mirrors the nose balanced by fresh acidity, lovely minerality, and a long finish.

Zesty and vibrant, this wine is a match made in heaven with shellfish and all types of seafood.

Take home a bottle of 2020 Mayu Pedro Ximenez for only $11.99 while supplies last.

Cheers!
