We’re starting off the New Year with 2018 Mountain Tides Petite Sirah as our Wine of the Week!

Mountain Tides Co. is a project by Scott Kirkpatrick and his wife, Allison Watkins. Inspired by cru Beaujolais, Scott was impressed with the playful aromas of the Petite Sirah grape and set out to reinvent the long-misunderstood varietal by producing it in a lighter, juicy, and super drinkable style.

Mountain Tides Petite Sirah is jam-packed with aromas of red fruits and spices. The palate is complex with dark red berries and some earthiness, leading into a long and satisfying finish.

The moderate tannins in this Petite Sirah make it incredibly food friendly. Pair with anything from roast pork, BBQ, game, hamburgers, and stews.
